    so when you come into my room you'll notice that I don't have a mattress bed.

    I used to have a futon before but I switched to a hammock as my bed when I

    moved here in Austin Texas and it's mostly because it's just more minimal

    for me. I live in a minimal way and so it just occupies less space. it's easy when

    I move out and it's really great for my back because I have back pain and I

    really like the feeling when I'm swinging in my hammock. it was pretty

    simple to install the hammock and I really love the fabric that I chose for

    the hammock which was organic cotton so I like to pay attention to the detail of

    the things that I have in my room.

    it took a little bit of time to get that perfect adjustment and the curvature of

    my hammock but after I think my second or third try I got the perfect curve and

    I really enjoy sleeping in my hammock. so on the side of my hammock is a little

    nightstand which I repurposed from a paper stool. I have some books and

    journals and things I like to have within my reach during that time. I have

    a little oil diffuser on the side

    also have my diary and journal and to the side of this I have my zafu cushion

    which I use for my meditation. I like to wake up and go do meditation right away

    and I also have a hanging light behind my hammock and this I installed myself - I

    got the lamp from Michael's (I believe) and I installed a little bracket and put

    it up. and just to the side of the hammock I have a little nook for my

    kitty (Soboru) and at first she didn't really have much interest in this but

    she does go in this cave sometimes.

    I don't have a lot on the wall of my room so it is pretty much bare except for my

    clock, some dry flowers, and a macrame hanging piece on the other side of the

    room. I have a little corner where I do have some little things on the walls -

    I have cut out some images from magazine and put it up. I like these quotes and

    also have a little drawing that my sister made. I enjoy having very natural

    colors in my room so I have a lot of tan, beige, warm colors. I have a sisal rug and

    the only real big furniture I have in my room is this papasan chair and my stool.

    and I love this little papasan chair - I really love the cushiony feeling of it. I

    really like spending my time with my cat here

    and above the papasan I have a clock which is a silent analog clock I got from

    Amazon I believe. and to the side of that I have this macrame piece I got from a

    store but I feel like I want to make my own and probably replace this in the

    future. and next to that is my little art corner which I showed in a previous

    real desk in my room as a little bookshelf here serves as my art area.

    it's my altar and it's also my desk. I enjoy sitting on the floor and I'm quite

    used to it as I'm Korean and traditionally Korean people do a lot of

    activities on the floor. so next to my desk I have a little bin where I put a

    lot of my go-to digital things - so I have my headphone, I have my computer charger,

    and inside the brown boxes I have some stationery things that I use quite often

    this might be my favorite thing in my art area - the salt lamp I love this.

    and I also have a few plants in my room and this one is the snake plant. I love

    it because it's very low maintenance. and I also do have a cactus in my room which

    I put by my window. it has been growing so fast and I think it's because it

    wants a lot more sunlight but it's trying to grow and grow and grow get

    more sunlight. I am a bit sad that it does have a little chip on the tippy top

    of neglected with watering so might as well just water right now. I'm hoping to

    kind of rejuvenate this plant and hopefully it can grow and get bigger. and
