Hi everyone! San Francisco is one of the most visited cities in the US so where

do you go to eat? If you really want to get a sense of San Francisco, here are

the top 10 must eats ranging from beloved local favorites to historical eats

number 10 La Taqueria when we think of burritos it's usually

giant, filled with ingredients, and wrapped in tin foil. Well as it turns out

this was invented in San Francisco - it's called the mission-style burrito because

it was invented by a taqueria in the Mission District, inspiring restaurants like Chipotle

It's debated as to which taqueria invented it, but La Taqueria on Mission St is one of the best

first you have to steam the tortilla to make

it really flexible to hold all of the ingredients, pack it with lots of yummy

eats, and then wrap it in tinfoil so you don't need any utensils

a secret tip is that you can ask for the burrito Dorado style which means that they'll grill it

for some extra crispy yumminess at no extra charge

number nine the chicken wings at San Tung

so anytime you look at some type of food list for San Francisco

San Tung somehow sneaks its way onto all these lists and this is why because

their dry fried chicken wings are so dang good every table is getting the dry

fried chicken it's sweet it's slightly spicy it's so dang crispy the chicken is

so moist inside you just want to keep eating them

the black bean sauce noodles wet style are good as well

number eight Ghirardelli chocolate you can go visit the original Ghirardelli

ice cream and chocolate shop at ghirardelli square

Ghirardhelli Chocolate was established by an Italian chocolatier in 1852

they hand out some free samples in the front of the store and then you can go check out some

historic chocolate making equipment in the back and then it's time to eat

something sweet so we loved their world famous hot fudge sundae

the fudge was so thick and rich, the brownie was warm, crispy on the outside

and moist inside and the ice cream was just perfect

definitely a place to go if you love chocolate

number seven Boudin Bakery and sourdough bread

although sourdough bread was not invented in San Francisco

the sourdough bread in San Francisco tastes different due to a bacteria

called lactobacillus sanfrancisco

Boudin Bakery was founded in 18-49 by a

french baker who took the sourdough that the Gold Rush miners discovered and

blended it with french techniques they have so many items in their sourdough

bakery but one thing that is just a San Francisco classic is clam chowder in a

sourdough bread bowl the clam chowder is creamy and I love how the bread soaks up

the soup it's a perfect thing to eat on a cold San Francisco day

number six Arsicault Bakery this french bakery was dubbed the best new bakery in

the US in 2016 by Bon Appetit magazine their croissants are so good we tried

their plain, almond, ham and cheese, and kougin amann. I love croissants and these

are the best croissants that I've ever had they were all really good but I

particularly liked the almond one and the ham and cheese the ham is the right

amount of saltiness the cheese is stringy and creamy and it's the best

savory croissant that I've ever had

number five Tony's Pizza Napoletana

this restaurant is owned by 13-time world pizza champion Tony Gemignani

the restaurant's really busy and we didn't have time to wait but the hostess told us

that we can just go two doors down and it's the same place same kitchen so when

you go over there you can actually order a fresh pizza or you can pick from

their prepared slices so we got a slice of the NY cheese and a slice

of the double sausage and sweet peppers you can tell how good a pizza is just by

a simple slice of cheese pizza oh my goodness this pizza is so good it's a

thin crust pizza and it's crispy its chewy I really like the double sausage

and sweet peppers so definitely come here if you love pizza

number four the egg tarts at Golden Gate Bakery

this bakery is just killing it

if you like egg tarts then this is probably going to be the best egg tart that

you've ever had we've had a lot of egg tarts you stand in line for a long time

their egg tart is just fantastically eggy and custardy the crust is amazing

oh my gosh they were so good

number three Swan Oyster Depot

Swan Oyster Depot opened in 1903 and soon became known as a place to go for fresh

seafood in San Francisco there are only eighteen stools in the restaurant so the

wait is really long and it's really popular we tried the clam chowder and

the combination seafood cocktail which were both really good and fresh

bring lots of cash since its cash only and it's a seafood place

they have an article about the off menu secret items in the bathroom

if you love fresh seafood especially raw seafood Swan Oyster Depot is the place to go

number two the crab cioppino at Sotto Mare

cioppino is actually a San Francisco invention

it was developed in the late 1800s by Italian fishermen

who lived in the North Beach neighborhood of San Francisco

Sotto Mare is widely known as having the best crab cioppino in the city it's also a small

place as well but it's totally worth the wait

other cioppinos we've had didn't have crab, the Sotto Mare crab cioppino has

mussels Dungeness crab calamari shrimp clams and it even has ziti pasta

the seafood is so fresh and the broth is so good

oh my god this is good this is really good (oh wow)

Wow that's really good (wow)

so come visit Sotto Mare in San Francisco's Little Italy

and then the number one must eat place when you go to San Francisco

Tadich Grill - Tadich Grill is not only the oldest restaurant in San

Francisco it's the oldest restaurant in California we heard the lines are

usually pretty long but we went on a Sunday at 2 p.m. and we didn't have to wait

this restaurant is not cheap it was 37 dollars for a seafood saute and

there's a minimum order per party but the food is so good

we got the seafood saute which comes with scallops prawns and crab legs and

oh my gosh the seafood was gigantic look at this gigantic prawn and this gigantic

scallop the crab legs were so good the seafood is so fresh it's so well cooked

the sauce is fantastic it's a white wine marsala sauce

that's very good

it's very good oh wow

the sauce is good? oh wow ok

and yes it's a bit expensive but

it's totally worth it for a fantastic meal
