my next guests are two of the most prominent women  in rock music today they're also sisters of course  

performing with a group heart they're not only  perform but they also write and produce most of  

their songs their latest album is entitled private  audition of which i have a special copy right here

to have them here tonight if they're still  here please welcome ann and nancy wilson  

how are you thank you very much very nice  awfully darn nice you're you're ann yes  

you're nancy and the brunette one but then  you knew that didn't you who had the vodka  

tonic would you just pass that down thank you uh  it's a pleasure to meet you folks how are things  

uh things things just generally this is kind  of an icebreaker question how are things  

things are horrible are you really yeah ugly  things are great we're on tour we're working  

hard yeah you're at the meadowlands yes that's  tomorrow big place isn't it yeah yeah how many  

how many folks in there what is that about like  18 something like that i don't know 18 000 though

i mean this is scary not that that's easy well  this is scary i gotta come back tomorrow night

this these were elvis presley  songs eh no oh we wrote those out  

wait a minute here uh i did it was not too bad  um yes those actually were written by good ole  

now was this a uh uh an idol uh for you guys  when you were getting into music or growing up  

well actually um i think that elvis was a little  bit before my time in fact he kind of scared me  

because he frightened you yeah elvis scared me  it's an inquirer headline i think isn't it yeah  

i was frightened by the king um well i think that  was so because like like i was more uh like 10  

years old how old are you now can i i can't ask  you that can i sure sure 15. you're just 32. 32.  

yes and you and your sister you're not the same  age are you eight 28 i see okay i'll be honest  

i thought we were identical twins so if if elvis  was not the uh he frightened you uh and who that's  

me nancy may have loved him no no because you were  even yeah he was the big man with the big hair  

you know but later on i'm pretty scared yeah  later on we grew to yeah really know what was  

going on and who did you like after you got over  your fright of elvis the beatles tiny tim really

of course he was a big man with big hair too  

yeah yeah but there was something kind of  disarming about tim you know tim is still out  

there doing it isn't he yeah yeah and he's also  performing but you know you just you just can't  

stop him whatever happened so you were actually  giant beetle fans or not that sounds silly

what now where is your home you're all the way  here on the other side of the country seattle  

yeah that's beautiful part of the country  isn't it oh yeah yeah that's that's what  

people always say they always go oh seattle  yeah great camping fishing pine trees yeah  

clean air yeah but uh that's all true but it's  it's also a nice cosmopolitan place to be yeah  

it's a fine city but and the out now how  what kind of living situation do you have  

well you know we live in trailers do you really  have a house trailer a little double wide  

no no no like uh nancy has a farm yeah and i have  a house in town yeah do you actually grow stuff  

on the farm or is it just a place to lots of like  garden vegetable gardens and dogs and horses and  

you know dogs oh you have dogs practically  a dog yeah yeah a dog farm yeah we don't  

we need more dogs there's a people don't  realize this there's a dog shortage in fact  

in fact um while we're on the subject we have  dogs dogs here okay now like like we know from  

watching your show that you too happen to like  dogs yes i do i have to oh that's stan there's  

bob and vicky yeah bob now now some of our  dogs wanted us to bring this along now this is  

this this is their taste folks not ours this is  their taste and beautiful floral prints here we  

have it here we have where should i hold this so  it's not sure let's right here this camera i guess  

okay now here we have some of the dogs  well oh this is just the first place

to go oh no yeah  

now these are dogs dude these are some of uh some  of the dogs involved with heart and uh nancy and i  

um first of all this is this is our drummer's dog  abby who is like abby that's a sweet guy oh yeah  

she's deaf he he's deaf and so you have  to stomp and then abby comes abby is deaf  

yeah not the drummer no no no danny here is fine  okay okay abby the dog is deaf the drummer is okay  

no now here is my dog and uh her name is eo  named after elton john oh that's that's his uh  

that's his little nickname and and see  she's uh she's giving me the true opinion  

on what i'm just sang uh-huh she's because  of her phone yeah like i usually rely on her  

here is here's blue he's the rasta oh  that's a great dog this is a rasta dog

he's into the he's into the  ganja and stuff you know yeah

i've seen that look before i've uh what

yeah yeah never never seen one of those like  chicken chicken you know just moves like he's

yeah both of them are particular fans of bob's  which is that's really road sweet a road dog  

yeah she's not here tonight she travels with  you but she's been to new york many times  

and i think that's it that's pretty fascinating  so here please make sure that he gets thank you
