hello there today i'm going to review your fabulous coin collection that you've managed

to build up over the years i'll also be jotting down some notes as to the approximate evaluation

of your coin collection and i'll also be inspecting your coins with the illuminated magnifier

just checking for any defects or potential skullduggery in terms of forgery so first

up you have a

two pound coin here a british two pound coin right there now this coin has a flag bearer

engraved and it commemorates the 2000 and two commonwealth games do you know where those

games were held? the 2002 commonwealth games were held in Manchester fabulous piece there

let's make some written notes of that

and evaluation

in keeping with the sporting events we have a 50 pence piece here with a high jumper engraved

now this commemorates the 2012 Olympic games held in London what do you think of this piece

here?

here's Her Majesty sorry sorry madam let's get it the right way there good just checking

for any potential defects forgery both sides looking pristine there and pristine there

good condition excellent okay what do we have next oh yes we have a 50 pence piece

minted in 2017 commemorating 375 years since the birth of the scientist and mathematician

Sir Isaac Newton Sir Isaac Newton what do you think of this piece is it one of your

personal favorites there sir?

oh suit you sir suit you sir let me just examine the finer details yes yes Her Majesty looking

fine there and wonderful form

excellent we have a historic 50 pence coin here the 1918 Representation of the People's

Act which essentially gave men the over 21 over 21 the right to vote and the women over

30 with qualifying property the right to vote as well

so that is that coin there with the folk of 1918

engraved people's act good condition on that side and on the other side excellent excellent

i'll make some notes so that's four coins two pence and 3 50p's

this is the next 50 pence coin you were brought in today and it says peace prosperity and

friendship with all nations with a small date marked on which is let's have a little look

under the light

31st of January 2020 do you know what this date represents?

this is when the UK left the European Union this is a Brexit commemorative 50 pence piece

excellent

that one is on the rarer side so i'll price that up accordingly for you

okay are you a fan of Paddington Bear because you've certainly accumulated three from the

collection here let's have a little look what you have

first up here is Paddington Bear outside St Paul's Cathedral in London there is Paddington

outside St Paul's cathedral

marvelous piece

okay good we have Paddington Bear outside what looks like Buckingham Palace holding

a Union Jack flag

there's Paddington outside Buckingham Palace there

Her Majesty

is untainted, looking marvelous

and we have Paddington Bear outside of the Tower of London the Tower of London Paddington

just there

excellent so pricing up those three coins for you

now there's quite a few million of those minted so they're not worth an awful lot next up

we have another historical

coin this is the 50 pence coin which bears the words Baliwick of Jersey 50 pence

this coin features Jersey's Grosnez castle that is the Grosnez castle of Jersey

what do you think of that piece there? one of my personal favorites

for a closer inspection

this doesn't appear to be a forgery minimal scuffs on either side damn near perfect condition

okay next up we have who is this?

the Tailor of Gloucester okay we have a little mouse, presbyopic with his ready readers or

near correction hanging on the bottom of his nose reading the newspaper I believe this

was a novel written by Beatrix Potter the Tailor of Gloucester

excellent piece keeping with the Beatrix Potter theme we have another book she written another

book she wrote here we have Mr Jeremy Fisher a frog who can be seen on the coin here in

his famous mackintosh jacket there can you see him there

a very discerning

character there pretty discerning character from the Beatrix Potter novel

he looks a little bit stern but full of wealth and wisdom mackintosh is looking pristine

no scuffs there and on the reverse everything appears normal good okay so i see you have

some ten pence coins from the alphabet collection

this one has an R engraved with a robin perched within the arc of the R with some falling

snowflakes possibly snow on the ground and on top of the R this would be the Christmas

robin coin from the alphabet collection there have a little look let's provide you with

some illumination for better viewing that's a very wonderful piece there 10 pence piece

10 pence piece okay and look at the fine work that's gone into creating those snowflakes

super super yes correct perfect

and the robin looks immaculate there

i also see you have another 10 pence coin here you have the letter Y what does this

represent well we can see a very heavy set gentleman with a top hat and a key this is

likely a Yeoman warder, Yeoman warder there he is, he's the gentleman there with

the key

now what does it say about this piece the Yeoman warder was responsible for guarding

the Tower of London, looking after prisoners and safeguarding the British crown jewels

it's a very important piece excellent okay let's price those up

lovely and we have just a few more 50 pence pieces from the collection here let's have

a little look we have diversity built Britain 50 pence coin there

we have a coin from the Peter Rabbit collection

we have Peter Rabbit there is Peter Rabbit

and another from the collection we have Benjamin Button who apparently was Peter Rabbit's best

friend there we go
