It has also been stated that waking up in the early hours of the morning to pray is quite abhorred by the lower self.

So, what would happen if you woke up early and pray?

Why Do We Worship At Night?

If you read Surah Al-Muzzammil, you will find out that God said to Prophet Muhammad (s)

'You strain yourself too much by worshipping excessively'.

Now, if God is saying such a thing...it's a big deal.

God says to his beloved, 'You strain yourself too much. Take respite'.

'Ya ayyuhal muzzammil...'

'Muzzammil' means 'the cloaked one'

But how can we know what type of 'cloak' is being referred to?

it's possible that it is the [ethereal] cloak of spiritual poverty (Faqr).

'Qum...'

'Qum' means 'stand up'.

'Lail...'

...means 'night'.

'Stand up at night'.

'Illa qaleela...'

'But also take some respite'.

'Nisfahoo...'

'[Worship] for half [the night]...'

...'awinqus minhu qaleela (or a little bit less than half)'.

'aw zid alayhi wa rat'tillil qur'aana tarteela'

'and recite the Qur'an with [the method of] tarteel'.

'inna sanulqi alayka...'

The word 'sanulqee'

The base word for it is 'ilqa'.

The prefix of 's' denotes future tense.

For example, the word 'qul' means 'to speak'

but 'sayaqul' means 'will speak'

'inna sanulqi alayka qaulan saqeela'

[God says] 'What I am revealing, descending unto your spiritual heart...' - Now, please pay attention.

This requires your attention.

What God says here, 'inna sanulqi alayka qaulan saqeela'

God has used the word 'ilqa' here and not 'wahi'.

It means this is a private conversation between God and his prophet.

The words allude to it... because God did not say this is a 'wahi (divine inspiration)'.

There is no mention of 'wahi'.

'Inna sanulqi...'

As I mentioned earlier, the prefix of 's' denotes future tense.

Therefore, 'inna sanulqi' means 'I shall descend an ilqa upon your spiritual heart'.

Well, God said, 'upon you' - but we know that it is on the spiritual heart.

'qaulan saqeela...'

'We shall reveal the exceptional word [of God] upon you'.

And then, 'wazkur isma rabbik wa tabatal ilayhi tabteela'

'And engage in the zikr (commemoration) of your Lord's name'.

That is one interpretation.

But I shall provide you with a translation

because the translation provided here has been rejected by God.

'wazkur isma rabbik wa tabatal ilayhi tabteela'.

God has rejected the translation they have given here.

Who says?

I do.

I shall impart with you the translation and explanation of this verse that I attained from the Loh e Mahfouz (Guarded Tablet).

God says here, 'wazkur isma rabbika...'

It means, 'begin to make mention the personal name of God ‘Allah’ amongst the people

The personal name of God that has been granted to you [Prophet Muhammad (s)], that no one else before you possessed...

start propagating about it to the people.

It is one thing to engage in the commemoration of God's name

'Allah Hoo, Allah Hoo'

The other meaning of this is to propagate about it - this also comes under 'zikr'.

'wazkur isma rabbika'

'Make mention of the name of God that has been granted to you'.

'Make it known to the people that you have been granted the Lord's name'.

'wa tabatal ilayhee tabteela'

And what will come of [making it known]?

'When you too attain the name of the Lord, you shall detach from all else and belong to him alone'.

It has also been stated that waking up in the early hours of the morning to pray is quite abhorred by the lower self.

So, what would happen if you woke up early and pray?

The lower self will have a curfew.

It won't be able to roam here and there because you are awake.

For example, you're afraid of your parents and you wait for them to fall asleep to sneak out to the club.

Similarly, the lower self has a habit of sneaking out of your body at night when you are asleep.

And it will definitely leave your body, especially when it has been expressing its desires to you all day long

and you do not act upon any of its desires.

[Throughout the day] the lower self makes many demands but you do not pay heed to them.

Now, the lower self is rearing to go and just waiting for the moment you fall asleep.

It says, 'as soon as you sleep, I will leave your body and engage in all my desired activities in the Infernal Realm'.

'I will go there and attend the satanic gatherings. Go ahead and fall asleep'.

You fall asleep.

While you are asleep, the lower self comes out of your body and you don't even know where it goes.

You wake up and think you're still a decent person because you haven't done anything indecent.

But you are completely aware of the extracurricular activities your lower self was involved in while you were asleep.

Now, we hold this spiritual gathering at night... when most people go to bed.

Furthermore, the infernal spirits have been deputised to roam the earth at night.

This is why the lower self is able to slip out of the body with ease; it is aided [by the infernal spirits].

However, if you have been participating in this spiritual gathering all night long and you sleep in the morning, it becomes difficult for the lower self to leave your body

because [in the morning] the [celestial] spirits take over, and they aid you.

This is why this time of night is suitable.

Moreover, God calls out after midnight.

'Is there any who seeks my love?'

But nobody can hear God's voice.

The maximum reach of God's voice is Aalam e Malakut (Realm of Angels).

Those whose [spiritual hearts] have gained access to Aalam e Malakut can hear it.

For instance, if you want to track someone's movements, you need to put a GPS tracker in their pocket...

or their bag...

and with this, you will be apprised of their location at all times.

Now, we are in Aalam e Nasut (Terrestrial Realm), we are completely oblivion to what God is saying

or who God is speaking to or when he speaks at all, we do not know.

The lowest realm that God's voice can be heard in is the Realm of Angels.

If our GPS tracker, ie the sub-spirit of the spiritual heart, Qalb e Saleem, gains access to the Realm of Angels,

All the announcements made up there by God, the spiritual heart would translate them for us.

'This is what God is saying now. This is what God is doing now...'

Therefore, the night is highly favourable to those practising spirituality.
