  • 00:14

Asalamualikoum, welcome back to Allah Loves.

  • 00:17

So I said that the two most common occurrences of "Allah yohib" Allah Loves in the Quran

  • 00:24

are "inAllaha yuhibo al motakeen" and "inaAllaha yuhibo el muhseneen" that Allah loves those

  • 00:28

who observe piety and Allah loves those observe excellence.

  • 00:32

The third most common occurrence in the Quran is "ina Allah yuhibo el mokseteen".

  • 00:38

Allah loves those who are just.

  • 00:39

Allah loves those who are equitable.

  • 00:42

Now usually when you think about justice, you think about big picture things.

  • 00:46

You think about a ruler, you think about an authority, you think about a government, you

  • 00:49

think about all of these huge systems that exist outside of your immediate control.

  • 00:55

But if you realize the references to justice in the Quran are usually talking about things

  • 01:00

that we encounter on a daily basis.

  • 01:02

So Allah talks about how he hates oppression, Allah hates transgression, Allah hates all

  • 01:08

of those things that demonstrate inequity.

  • 01:11

But when it comes to us in our own individual lives, when does Allah praise those who do

  • 01:16

justice and those who are equitable.

  • 01:18

Allah says he loves those who are just.

  • 01:20

"wala yajnemanakoum shana'ano kouman 'ala al ta'adeloo".

  • 01:24

He loves people that are just even with people they don't like.

  • 01:29

So you don't let your hatred of a people cause you to be unjust to them and that earns you

  • 01:34

    the love of Allah.

  • 01:35

Allah say "wallaho yuhibo al mokseteen" in surat el hujuraat when he is talking about

  • 01:40

a person that brings two people together, two groups of people together that have some

  • 01:45

sort of argument or some sort of disagreement or some sort of in-fighting.

  • 01:49

Thats something that can be occurring in your own family life, in your own work place.

  • 01:52

Or it could be occurring in your own community and you play the role of "islah" in rectifying

  • 01:59

the situation, reconciling between the parties but most importantly maintaining a sense of

  • 02:05

    justice.

  • 02:06

The scholars warned us not to read the traditions about the just ruler, who is the first person

  • 02:12

shaded by Allah on the day of judgement under his throne or the one who is given a pulpit

  • 02:17

of light just in the capacity of a sultan or an imam or the ruler or the government

  • 02:22

or the authority, but rather to see ourselves capable of attaining those positions.

  • 02:28

Every single one of us is placed in a situation, in fact multiple situations, sometimes even

  • 02:33

on a daily basis in which we have the ability to either be a vehicle of justice in someone

  • 02:40

else's life or to uphold it in our own immediate lives with the things that are around us.

  • 02:45

"inallaha yuhibo el mokseteen" Allah loves those who are just and Allah hates those who

  • 02:51

oppress and oppression is a disqualification of the love of Allah (swt) and each one of

  • 02:58

us should look in our lives and say if I am being unjust how will that fair on the day

  • 03:03

of judgement when the first rule is "la thalm al youm" there is no transgression that will

  • 03:08

    be tolerated today.

  • 03:09

When Allah even does justice between the animals, how can I expect then to show up on the day

  • 03:13

of judgement and not be taken to task for my own injustice. The last thing that is important

  • 03:19

to mention here is Sufyan al Thouri (may Allah have mercy on him) said something very powerful

  • 03:24

in regards to our own lives.

  • 03:25

Because the first thing that you think about when you think about injustice is am I actually

  • 03:30

a source of injustice on someone else's life.

  • 03:33

Not am i being complacent with someone else's injustice or am i not standing up for someone

  • 03:40

when i should be standing up for someone or being fair and equitable in a situation but

  • 03:44

am i myself guilty of harming someone or oppressing someone.

  • 03:48

And Sufyan al Thouri (may Allah have mercy on him) he said that I wish that on the day

  • 03:53

of judgement the only one have to deal with is Allah but on the day of judgement though

  • 03:59

Allah might forgive all of the sins that you have committed in regards to your relationship

  • 04:04

with Him, Allah will not allow for a wrongdoing that you did to someone else to go unaccounted

  • 04:09

    for.

  • 04:10

If Allah loves you, and this is what Ibn Masood said that if Allah loves you then he would

  • 04:18

allow for all those people that you owe because of injustices to be repaid from your deeds

  • 04:25

but Allah would increase one of your good deeds in size to a point that it would cover

  • 04:30

for those deficiencies found in your deeds.

  • 04:33

So we ask Allah (swt) first and foremost to protect us from being unjust to other people,

  • 04:39

to protect us from being complacent with injustice when it is apparent to us, to protect us from

  • 04:45

doing things that are inequitable from judging in a way that's faulty when we have parties

  • 04:50

due to being swayed by interest of something else and we ask Allah (swt) to not judge us

  • 04:56

by his justice on the day of judgement but instead by his mercy.

  • 04:59

Allahoma Ameen, JazakAllah khayran and see you all next time inshallah wsalamoalikoum

  • 05:03

    wa rahmatollahi wa barakato.
