mr. beast was one of the most viewed YouTube creators in the last year and in

this video we will see how he started and found his success with elaborate

stunts and giveaways so who is mr. beast

Jimmy Donaldson or more commonly known online as mr. beast is an American

content creator YouTube star internet personality and philanthropist he was

born in Kansas United States on May 7th 1998 he later moved to Greenville North

Carolina where he grew up and did his YouTube channel in his early age his

Nana used to watch him because both his parents were in the Army there's not

much info about his father but his mom appeared on various videos including

giving my mom $100,000 proudest day of my life mr. beast or Jimmy also has an

older brother called CJ wait that's not him okay who recently started posting on

his own YouTube channel called mr. bro yeah super creative name but who am I to

judge so how did he start his YouTube empire Jimmy always wanted to be a

youtuber he grew up watching a lot of YouTube like woodysgamertag call of duty

videos and some other youtubers like T Martin white boy and ali-a interestingly

he started his first YouTube channel when he was twelve years old and he was

attacked by hacker in a facebook game battle pirates later he started playing

and uploading videos of Call of Duty and minecraft after some time on February 19

2012 he opened his second channel which was used for his minecraft commentary

videos and named it mr. beast 6000 after removing 6000 he settled on the

iconic mr. beast on his primary channel he gained a lot of subscribers after

using sub4sub sites but even with the new subscribers he would get very little

views one day in frustration he deleted this channel

he was left with his mrbeast 6000 channel which he had only 2 minecraft

videos Jimmy decided to take a break and

stop uploading several months later when he later came back he saw that his

Minecraft videos are actually doing good which gave him the motivation to start

uploading again but still even with these new videos it took him years

before he started to gain attention and find content that viewers wanted to

watch back in the day he had a terrible laptop and recorded with a built-in

microphone and didn't have a camera so he saved up for months to buy better

equipment he was making a dollar a day and didn't want to tell his mom he's

doing YouTube until he reached 10,000 subscribers during the next two years he

went through stages of trends on his channel like funny highlights of playing

Minecraft and Call of Duty estimating youtubers wealth offering tips and

tricks to aspiring creators and commentating on youtuber drama Jimmy

started gaining friction in 2015 and 2016 after he began uploading videos

where he made fun of youtuber introductions he discovered on the

platform he named its worst intros on YouTube video series it was very popular

and helped him grow he went to college for a whole two weeks and decided it

wasn't for him he later said that he would rather be poor and make videos

than work doing just about anything else he also didn't tell his mom about this

for a little bit during those days he decided that in order to make this work

he would need to step up his game do what do what so he did what any sane

person would do he spent 44 hours counting to 100,000 he

uploaded it on January 2017 and that was his first truly viral video later that

year mr. best reached 1 million subscribers

after that first video went viral mr. beast found what the YouTube

algorithm liked he quickly amassed more views with

similar stunts like spinning a fidget spinner for 24 hours and watching Jay

Paul's it's everyday bro music video for 10 hours straight it is at this time

that he started getting brand deals and donating money to twitch streamers

homeless people and tipping ten thousand dollars to uber drivers and pizza

delivery guys as his brand deals grew so did the donations in October 2018

t-series started getting close to PewDiePie with a number of subscribers

the battle for the biggest YouTube channel was on and Jimmy Donaldson

decided that he would launch a relentless ad campaign to support fellow

youtuber PewDiePie and help him win he recorded a 12 hour video saying human

mind 100,000 times he bought billboards and truck ads turned up at the Superbowl

in sub - PewDiePie shirts but still t-series prevailed in may 2000 19 a fan

suggested on reddit that mr. beast should plant 20 million trees to

celebrate reaching 20 million subscribers on YouTube later that year

in October mr beast and mark rober launched a fundraising campaign called

#teamtrees to plant 20 million trees by the end of 2019 the campaign has

gathered the support of hundreds if not thousands of influencers and has

received more than 20 million dollars worth of donations from over half a

million people including Elon Musk and Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey Toby Lutzke and

YouTube stars like PewDiePie and Jeffrey star MrBeast had given out millions of

dollars through his outlandish stunts earning him the title of YouTube's

biggest philanthropist he has been credited with helping to launch a new

style of expensive stunt videos on YouTube in which creators pull off

elaborate challenges and large-scale sponsored giveaways every insane idea

you can think of is somewhere on Mr beasts channel I also thought I

should include some of his crew members since his videos wouldn't be the same

without them as mr beast has grown his channel he was able to hire four of his

childhood friends Chris Chandler Garret and Jake to work for him and his YouTube

channel and since then they have become iconic names in the Mrbeast empire

full-time he has over 10 employees and part time they have a lot of people

helping out as well they surely won't be able to pick up 100 million Orbeez by

themselves and things like that Chris and Chandler grew up with him he's known

Chris the meme God since he was 12 and he was his first subscriber and Chandler

Jimmy's mom is also a big part of the team and does lots of things to top it

off and make matters worse she does not call it my youtube channel she calls it

it a business Jimmy is big on loyalty and a lot of the

crew he's known for the majority of his life even as editor Ethan wasn't super

passionate about editing but it is someone he knew from school but one

thing is still not clear does Chris moisturize

more than 120 last videos on his channel all have over 10 million views so why are his

videos doing so good and are more entertaining than some TV shows Mr

beast likes to delegate all things he is not good at or doesn't like doing so he

can focus on one thing he is best at and has fun doing that is thinking of video

ideas and seeing them unfold sometimes the ideas come from hours of

brainstorming with the team and sometimes it is as random as just

flipping through the dictionary and landing on random words like prison and

if something worked they would do it again like they did over 15 twitch

donations he reinvested everything he earned up until the past couple months

and sometimes spends as much as 100 thousand dollars on a video there is no

routine one day they will film in the desert and tomorrow they will be

traveling to Antarctica he also owns a huge warehouse where they filmed the

videos sometimes mrbeast starts the challenges thinking they are easier than

they really are but then he gets so far into them that he is like well I might

as well finish it that's what she said that's my joke damn it Dwight

he once said we try to all-around be above the rest if other people spend one

hour thinking of video ideas and five hours filming I want to spend 10 hours

of thinking and days filming after all the filming is finished three editors

edit the video and usually Chris reviews it then Chandler, Jake and Jimmy will

review at last after all five revisions it's impossible for a video not to be

good there are not many bad videos about Mr beast but since he became so famous

people started wondering how does he have so much money to give there's some

interesting theories about the origin of his money like it's actually Chandler

that's rich and gives the money to Mrbeast for

challenges which is why he loses every time wow he is Robin Hood he took it

from old people dark web of bitcoin he is the son of Elon Musk hmm

but the truth is he gets it from brand deals Adsense and MrBeast merchandise

MrBeast is a product of his own viral content he's only able to give out these

thousands of dollars thanks to six-figure brand deals to fund in video

ads his first ever brand deal was $5,000 with an app named quidd so what did he

do he said double it and I will give it to the homeless person and at first they

thought he was lying but that's what he did MrBeast has close to 5 billion

views so he earns a lot from ads playing before and during videos he also owns an

online store where he sells t-shirts and other clothing to his followers on

social media and they are growing every day by millions Jimmy used to say he

doesn't have time for a girlfriend but somehow in June 2019 he shared on

Instagram he was dating Maddie's Fadel Instagram personality dancer and digital

marketing student for Valentine's Day he surprised her with 100,000 roses

Jimmy managed to do a lot in these last couple of years so here's some of the

things he did he counted to 200,000 he spent 24 hours underwater read the

longest English word 190,000 characters Ubered across America

he tipped a house to a pizza delivery guy opened a free bank opened a free car

dealership can we afford this I really don't know that's reassuring

he spun the fidgets spinner for 24 hours twice won every prize at a theme park he

proved that the earth is flat he ordered water and then tipped $30,000

built a working car using only Legos he watched paint dry wait what even he gave

up on naming all of his accomplishments and this video was already too long so

some people would say Jimmy is a product of luck but researching for this topic I

learned a lot and saw it took him over eight years to get where he is now and

those years weren't an easy journey but he remained consistent and determined to

make it work even now he said in an interview wants to keep grinding and

stay in North Carolina he doesn't want mansions Lamborghinis

all he wants for now is to be a top-tier youtuber he is happy he started playing

basketball again and listening to audiobooks about the parts of life where

he thinks he needs improvement is he really that genuine of a person well

is turning 22 in May and it already seems that there is little stuff he
