I am excited to talk to you today about our outstanding

Cinema EOS line and it's future.

Cinema EOS is a fully integrated solution for professional filmmakers and cinematographers.

It's a family of cinema cameras and lenses that work seamlessly together.

In just 10 years, since the Cinema EOS line was first introduced, Canon has produced many innovative cameras,

providing users with the necessary tools to realise their creative vision.

This has not only been achieved through our Cinema EOS line, but also our superb EOS R system.

And the last few years have illustrated that content creators of all genres are needing

to be even more versatile on their productions.

They require a camera that enables them to be quick and nimble, without sacrificing image quality,

but also be quick to adapt to their ever-changing environments.

Hybrid working, requires a hybrid solution that is ready for anything.

So with this in mind, I’m excited to introduce to you to a new addition to the Cinema EOS family,

the Canon EOS R5 C.

The Canon EOS R5 C is a Professional hybrid cinema camera, designed for solo operators that require

a one-stop solution for their production needs.

It combines the professional filmmaking features expected from a Cinema EOS camera,

with the powerful photographic capabilities of the EOS R System.

The Canon EOS R5 C sits alongside the EOS R5, to offer two incredibly powerful hybrid solutions.

The EOS R5 is for hybrid shooters that primarily capture Photos and require high-quality video capabilities.

The Canon EOS R5 C is for hybrid shooters that primarily shoot Video content and require a powerful large format

camera for long-duration filmmaking, with outstanding Photo capabilities.

Mount it on a tripod, gimbal or drone, the Canon EOS R5 C allows you to shoot whatever

you want, however you want, and should be at the heart of your next production.

Whether you're shooting weddings, music, Virtual reality, or a cinematic travel documentary, the Canon EOS R5 C

is ready for anything.

The Canon EOS R5 C allows you to capture incredible detail with low-noise thanks to a full-frame CMOS sensor

that delivers 8K DCI RAW video recording in 12-bit up to 30fps.

Through using an external power supply, filmmakers can also capture 8K DCI RAW at up to 60fps.

There are three 12-bit RAW recording options available, as well as Canon’s reliable 10-bit XF-AVC or MP4 formats,

providing extensive workflow flexibility for your production needs.

In addition, 4K and Full HD footage is internally oversampled from 8K to provide exceptional clarity with low noise.

The camera is even capable of capturing 4K up to 120fps for immersive slow-motion with stunning detail.

While filming in 4K 120fps, you are able to record audio and use our outstanding Dual Pixel Autofocus technology

to ensure each frame remains sharp.

Users can take advantage of the outstanding Dual Pixel CMOS Auto Focus and EOS iTR AF X technology

offering you the very best subject tracking.

The Full Frame sensor and DIGIC X processor work in unison to provide cutting-edge photography performance

with exceptional clarity, resulting in incredible 45MP images with low noise, and wide dynamic range. This also includes

burst speeds up to 20fps.

When in Photo Mode, the EOS R5 C incorporates many of the same photo features as found in the EOS R5.

So, whether you’re capturing portraits, tracking animals or birds in flight, you can ensure

your images are perfectly in focus.

This design has evolved to cater for professional video creation - With long duration recording

and an expanded interface for more connectivity.

The EOS R5 C is our smallest and lightest Cinema EOS camera. And despite being so small, the camera features

13 user-assignable buttons, a new multi-function accessory shoe, as seen in the EOS R3 and XF605,

a dedicated Timecode interface, a bright 3.2-inch articulating LCD touchscreen, and a 0.5-inch high-resolution

OLED viewfinder.

The EOS R5 C also implements an active cooling system that efficiently dissipates

heat making long duration 8K recording possible.

Featuring Canon’s revolutionary RF mount, the EOS R5 C is not only compatible with our cutting-edge RF lenses,

but also the extensive range of EF mount Cinema and Photo Lenses via a range of EF-EOS R Mount Adapters.

For moments where the camera is not mounted on a tripod, gimbal, or drone, advanced 5-axis Electronic IS

is available to achieve smooth and stable hand-held footage. As proven in our existing Cinema EOS cameras

such as the EOS C500 Mark II, C300 Mark III and C70, this technology seamlessly works

alongside both stabilised and non-stabilised lenses to produce outstanding results.

Anamorphic lenses are also supported via third party adapters, with 2x, 1.8x, and 1.3x de-squeeze support.

Other outstanding features offered by the EOS R5 C are Dual media card slots, providing sophisticated simultaneous

recording options where different formats, resolutions and bit depths can be recorded to each card

to support a variety of professional workflows.

HDR support via PQ and HLG as well as Canon Log 3 are available in the EOS R5 C to achieve exceptional dynamic

range up to 14-stops, preserving fine details in both the shadows and highlights.

While a new Dual Base ISO feature allows for expanded sensitivity and minimal noise when shooting in low light.

environments.

An extensive range of professional filmmaking tools such as a Waveform Monitor for analysing the

brightness of an image, and False Colour for visually representing exposure, are featured in the EOS R5 C.

As well as true 24p DCI recording, 180-degree shutter angle, Look File support for importing 3D LUTs

and timecode in/out.

The EOS R5 C merges the worlds of Cinema EOS and the EOS R System into one, offering compatibility with an extensive

range of professional filmmaking, photography and virtual reality applications

for both smartphones and personal computers.

This includes, Browser Remote - for intuitive smartphone or tablet control,

Content Transfer Mobile - for file transfers or editing metadata, image.canon for cloud storage services,

and much more.

The Canon EOS R5 C is a powerful hybrid camera designed to be that one tool for any situation.
