10 MISTAKES EVERYBODY MISSED IN MONEY HEIST

  • 00:04

Among the popular shows watched worldwide is none other than the recent resurfaces phenomenon

  • 00:09

    Money Heist.

  • 00:11

A Spanish heist crime drama series first aired in 2017 on the Spanish network Antena 3.

  • 00:18

The series is narrated by Tokyo, a bank robber in search of a hideout from the police, being

  • 00:22

recruited by a man who goes by the name of 'The Professor'.

  • 00:26

He invites her to participate in his plan, to rob the Royal Mint of Spain and walk away

  • 00:31

with €2.4 billion, accompanied by seven other robbers namely, Berlin, Rio, Denver,

  • 00:38

    Moscow, Oslo, Helsinki, and Nairobi.

  • 00:42

With a growing fan base worldwide, it has its audience glued to their seats.

  • 00:47

The building tension, the nail-biting suspense, the blooming romance between characters and

  • 00:52

the buzzing action has fans addicted to the show.

  • 00:56

It has managed to garner a large number of viewers and is one of the top three most streamed

  • 01:00

    shows on Netflix.

  • 01:01

It is highly popular in Italy, Argentina, France, Portugal, and Brazil.

  • 01:08

But no matter how good a show is there are some mistakes that some audience picks up

  • 01:12

    before the production crew.

  • 01:14

However small, these errors are still there.

  • 01:17

Let's look at the “10 mistakes everybody missed in money heist”.

  • 01:26

you don’t miss out on anything!

  • 01:28

    Alright, now let's begin.

  • 01:31

THE JUNKYARD OWNER AND THE SKETCH The frenzy and exhaustion of catching the

  • 01:36

robbers keep increasing among the police each day.

  • 01:40

However in the 6th episode of the first season, when the police finally think that they have

  • 01:44

a lead; the junkyard owner who claims to have seen the Professor; it slips right through

  • 01:48

    their fingers.

  • 01:50

The junkyard owner sits down with a police officer to draw the professor's sketch but

  • 01:53

when he is threatened by the Professor through transmission in Russian, he proceeds to erase

  • 01:58

the almost complete sketch, and surprisingly the force doesn't even try to get it back.

  • 02:03

They storm at him and tell him to leave.

  • 02:06

Having a crucial witness against the mastermind behind one of the biggest heists the country

  • 02:10

has ever seen, and letting him go because he claims to know nothing , even after almost

  • 02:15

completing the sketch, does not make sense.

  • 02:18

Some fans on Reddit even joked about how dumb the officers were when they didn't even try

  • 02:21

Ctrl+Z to retrieve the deleted sketch.

  • 02:26

THE PLETHORA OF JOKERS FLOODING THE HOSPITAL In the 12th episode of pat 2, when the police

  • 02:31

set up a trap for the professor by luring him in the hospital that Angel has now awakened

  • 02:36

from his coma, the Professor whose fate now lies in the hands of Angel's consciousness,

  • 02:41

    needs to confirm the news.

  • 02:42

But since he is a highly suspected fugitive, he hires dozens of people dressed as clowns

  • 02:47

to create a diversion for his investigation.

  • 02:49

Where did he even find this number of people who showed in clown costumes for acting auditions,

  • 02:54

    at a HOSPITAL??

  • 02:56

And even when he makes it there, he walks towards the desired room unsuspected, uninterrupted

  • 03:01

while other clowns are being pushed away?

  • 03:03

While things were going haywire for the officers deployed there, everything seems to be folding

  • 03:07

smoothly out for the Professor as though walking in a park.

  • 03:12

POOR AIMING SHOTS FOR TRAINED PROFESSIONALS It's one thing to show a character smarter

  • 03:17

than the police, that is justified and possible.

  • 03:20

But what appalls me is the fact that these very ordinary robbers aside from their skills,

  • 03:26

more than half have never had the experience of a battlefield much less a firing situation.

  • 03:31

But by some miracle, they are a perfect match for the trained forces opposite to them.

  • 03:36

When Denver takes Moscow to the roof along with hostages disguised in the same attire,

  • 03:41

he hands a fake gun to Arturo, and the police fires at him mistaking him for one of the

  • 03:45

    robbers.

  • 03:47

Reading from Arturo's body language, and the way he held the gun would've been enough for

  • 03:50

professional profilers to know that he wasn't one of the robbers.

  • 03:54

But they fire at him anyway and even when he faces a professional firing squad that

  • 03:58

fires multiple times intending to kill him, he manages to hit only one bullet on his shoulder!!

  • 04:04

Not even on the chest or his heart.

  • 04:07

Secondly, when Tokyo heroically rides racing into the mint, without a cover, not one bullet

  • 04:12

    manages to hit her.

  • 04:14

Thirdly while escaping they face an army, which is ten times more skilled than the local

  • 04:19

police, still don't injure any of the members until Berlin willingly gives himself up.

  • 04:25

RACQUEL'S LOVE FOR THE PROFESSOR Even though the cop eventually joins the gang,

  • 04:31

her character was a disappointment throughout the first and second parts.

  • 04:35

Officers assigned to such a heist case must be skilled and highly professional, not to

  • 04:39

mention that they fully understand that the cases are confidential until their exposure

  • 04:43

    to the media.

  • 04:45

She willingly shares her updates with her new love interest, which she has only met

  • 04:48

a few weeks ago, sharing very intricate details.

  • 04:52

Moreover even after she discovers the real identity of her boyfriend, Salva, instead

  • 04:57

of arresting him immediately and taking him to the precinct, she drives away from the

  • 05:01

city with him to interrogate him.

  • 05:03

As a way to justify her guilty feelings, she even makes him take a polygraph, which has

  • 05:08

    quite an impact on her.

  • 05:10

She compromises and sabotages the investigation of the case by letting him go away.

  • 05:16

THE ESCAPE TUNNEL WAS DUG TOO LATE If the Professor had intended for them to

  • 05:21

escape through a tunnel, why didn't they start digging right away, this would have bought

  • 05:25

    them more time to escape.

  • 05:27

The crew plans for the heist for about five months but how can they not focus on the escape

  • 05:31

    route.

  • 05:32

What they could've done beforehand was to dig from the professor's side.

  • 05:36

Having dug that further, it would've been easier from the Mint's side.

  • 05:40

The reveal of the tunnel was a catalyst for suspense and assuring the safe route for the

  • 05:44

    fans' beloved characters.

  • 05:46

Although if they've done the digging from day one, they wouldn't have needed the hostages

  • 05:50

to move their money to their escape vault, leaving them completely oblivious and the

  • 05:54

police would have to look around for themselves.

  • 05:56

Secondly, they should've bombarded the stairs leading to the escape vault, all the more

  • 06:01

ways to slow down the forces from getting them and providing them with an efficient

  • 06:04

    amount of time.

  • 06:07

THE HANDCUFFS ON GANDIA WERE OPEN This was a directing mistake.

  • 06:12

While filming a scene in part 4's episode 3, when Palermo beats up Gandia in sheer anger,

  • 06:17

    Gandia's handcuffs weren't even closed.

  • 06:19

Though these mistakes can only be seen if you have a very keen eye or you just happened

  • 06:24

to pause the episode right on that clips, or if you love to watch in very slow motion.

  • 06:29

We see Palermo blatantly beat Gandia until Nairobi yells at Denver to stop him.

  • 06:34

The screen then shows a bloody Gandia, whose hands are tied to a handle and cuffed.

  • 06:39

While there's one scene where his hands are perfectly secure, the other scene shows his

  • 06:43

handcuff coming off loose as Palermo strikes him with his cane.

  • 06:49

GANDIA BEING SUPERHUMAN Okay if we take in the fact that Gandia was

  • 06:54

a highly trained individual having the experience of a lifetime, working with black ops, etc.

  • 06:59

how is it possible for him to escape each time unharmed, uninjured?

  • 07:04

The first time he escapes with the help of Palermo by dislocating his wrists, he is not

  • 07:08

affected in the aftermath and continues his advances towards the team easily.

  • 07:13

After being discovered by the team he is chased down by them, bullets are fired towards him

  • 07:17

multiple times, and not one strikes him.

  • 07:20

The fans on Reddit were furious at how he was exposed completely and in the gang's range

  • 07:25

but not one bullet hit him.

  • 07:27

Moreover, how can a skilled assassin not know how to escape handcuffs or dislocate his hand?

  • 07:34

THE MAIN ASSET IS NOT CONTRIBUTING TO THE PLOT

  • 07:38

When you think of the robbers having an upper hand against the state in season 4, you probably

  • 07:43

thought in the initial episodes that it must be the Governor but ironically the robbers

  • 07:47

    never play this card.

  • 07:49

They spend a whole episode looking for the hidden panic room but not one of them suggests

  • 07:54

    asking the governor themselves.

  • 07:56

The governor sat there being useless, if anyone on the team had even looked at him it would've

  • 08:00

dawned on them to use him against Gandia who ended up killing Nairobi.

  • 08:06

PALERMO CLAIMING HIS LOVE FOR THE PLAN BUT MESSING IT UP

  • 08:09

In flashbacks when Berlin, Professor, and Palermo discuss the plan he swears his love

  • 08:14

for it and his dedication to the plan.

  • 08:17

He even says that he would betray the Professor but not their heist mission.

  • 08:21

But when the team entrusts him with the hostages, he, like a little idiot focused on his petty

  • 08:26

issues with the team, let's the man lose who is most likely to endanger their mission.

  • 08:32

It wasn't like Gandio was begging to be released; Palermo acted on his nerves and let him go,

  • 08:37

consequently sabotaging the whole 'plan' he was so in love with.

  • 08:41

Tell us in the comments section if you noticed this plot hole as well in the Season 4 of

  • 08:44

    the show.

  • 08:47

THE BURNING QUESTION OF TOKYO'S AGE

  • 08:50

Though it is clear from the physical appearance that Tokyo is more than a decade older than

  • 08:54

Rio who is just 19 years old, controversy in the dialogue has led to confusion.

  • 08:59

In the first episode, it was shown that Tokyo is almost 12 years older than Rio but in further

  • 09:05

episodes, while talking to Berlin, Rio is reminded that his girlfriend is almost 15

  • 09:09

    years older than him.

  • 09:10

Now that's a huge mistake that most failed to notice.

  • 09:13

The writers aren't even sure of Tokyo's age which is kind of funny.

  • 09:16

I hope Rio is not as confused as I am right now.

  • 09:21

These are some of the plot holes and direction faults.

  • 09:24

Some fans find themselves pulling back however more and more people are being drawn towards.

  • 09:29

With the release of season four in April this year, social media was flooded with Money

  • 09:33

    Heist content.
