  • 00:01

We’ve done Disney, we’ve done Dreamworks, and we’ve done Pixar.

  • 00:06

Naturally, the next studio in line for the Squid Game treatment would be Sony Animation.

  • 00:12

After all, their villains are fun, entertaining and even intimidating when they want to be,

  • 00:17

so why not see how their skills would compare against each other?

  • 00:21

I’m ______ with WickedBinge, and I’m here to tell you which Sony Animation Villain would

  • 00:26

    win Squid Game.

  • 00:31

Much like Pixar, you may be seeing a few - let’s just say ‘out there’ contestants - due

  • 00:36

to how unique Sony’s villain line-up is.

  • 00:39

But, as always, we’re going to try to make things as fair as possible - which means no

  • 00:44

    superpowers, gadgets or weapons.

  • 00:47

With that detail out of the way, our contestants are: Tank, Shaw, Chef Quasimoto, Mayor Shelbourne,

  • 00:55

Bela, Smiler, Black Bellamy, Queen Victoria, Chester V, King Leonard Mudbeard, Zeta, Ericka

  • 01:03

Van Helsing, Abraham Van Helsing, Gargamel (from Smurfs: The Lost Village), the Royal

  • 01:08

Hunter, Pockets, Doc Ock, the Prowler, Kingpin, PAL and Lutador - for a total of 21 contestants.

  • 01:17

As always, we’ll start with our first game: “Red Light, Green Light”.

  • 01:21

“Red Light, Green Light” is a game that’s all about speed and sharp listening skills.

  • 01:26

The goal is to make it to the finish line as fast as you can.

  • 01:30

However, if a player is too focused on the finish line to realize when a ‘red light’

  • 01:34

is coming up, or if they easily panic and accidentally move or stumble when they’re

  • 01:39

supposed to freeze, this game could spell their doom.

  • 01:43

Someone who does extremely well in this game is Ericka, as we’ve seen just how acrobatic

  • 01:49

    she can be.

  • 01:50

Similarly, Pockets - who is pretty much a master with his feet - would do very well.

  • 01:55

The Prowler, AKA Aaron Davis, is also incredibly agile.

  • 02:00

Additionally, as an assassin and mercenary, he’s a great listener too.

  • 02:05

Finally, as a hunter, the Royal Hunter would also be able to move quickly while also keeping

  • 02:10

    an ear out for instructions.

  • 02:12

Looking at those who wouldn’t do so well in this game, we unfortunately have to get

  • 02:16

rid of our most recent Sony villain, PAL, right off the bat.

  • 02:21

As much as we may love her, without her robots she’s just a smartphone.

  • 02:26

Given that she isn’t allowed to have these robots with her in the game, PAL quickly ends

  • 02:30

up with a bullet through her screen.

  • 02:33

Someone else who would also have a hard time in this game would be Abraham Van Helsing.

  • 02:38

He may have had a good chance of passing when he was younger, but with how slow his new

  • 02:42

robotic body is, we just can’t see him crossing the finish line in time (that is, if the gears

  • 02:47

in his body are even able to freeze in time with the Red Lights).

  • 02:51

The only other death in this game is Shaw.

  • 02:55

While yes, we’re sure that he’d be a decent listener since he’s another character who’s

  • 02:59

a hunter, we have to remember that the guy is… kind of insane.

  • 03:04

This combined with his paranoia makes him just unstable enough to likely panic during

  • 03:09

    this intense game.

  • 03:11

With 18 of our villains surviving, it’s time for our next game - “Ppopgi” or Honeycomb.

  • 03:16

The Honeycomb game requires patience and a steady hand.

  • 03:20

Too much shaking or pressure could cause a fatal break.

  • 03:24

As such, our contestants will need to have enough focus to poke out their shape without

  • 03:28

    accidentally breaking it.

  • 03:31

While pirates aren’t exactly known for a ‘gentle touch’, we think that Black Bellamy

  • 03:35

would do well in this game.

  • 03:37

He’s a chill dude and, as a pirate, probably has a pretty steady hand when it comes to

  • 03:42

things like knives and cutlasses too.

  • 03:45

So, we think he’d be able to pass this round.

  • 03:48

As an inventor, we feel that Chester V would also have a steady hand in this game, as well

  • 03:53

    as a ton of patience.

  • 03:55

The same could be said for scientist and villainous extraordinaire, Doc Ock.

  • 04:00

Another character with an insane amount of patience would be Smiler.

  • 04:04

After all, her whole thing is staying happy, and we also see her use small dentistry tools

  • 04:10

to keep her teeth clean, so we know she has a steady hand too.

  • 04:14

Unfortunately, we can’t say that Lutador doesn’t share this same success.

  • 04:20

Like PAL before him, this death is kind of unfair since as a snake Lutador doesn’t

  • 04:26

    exactly have hands.

  • 04:28

    But hey, them’s the breaks.

  • 04:30

Another character that gets screwed over by their biology is Tank.

  • 04:34

Penguin flippers aren’t exactly super steady or careful, nor would they likely be able

  • 04:40

to grip a needle very well.

  • 04:42

This combined with Tank’s additional strength and below average intelligence spells his

  • 04:48

    doom.

  • 04:49

We also have to say goodbye to Kingpin.

  • 04:52

Yeahhh, we’re sure this one hurts, but with how insanely strong this guy is and how big

  • 04:57

his hands are, we just don’t think he would pass this one, no matter how much patience

  • 05:03

    he may have.

  • 05:04

Finally, due to Bela’s intense anger issues and reckless nature, we felt that he would

  • 05:10

    also die in this game.

  • 05:12

Looking at our remaining contestants, we’re left with 14 Sony Animation baddies still

  • 05:17

    standing.

  • 05:19

Following the Honeycomb game, we of course have “The Midnight Brawl”.

  • 05:23

Lack of food and sleep plus the stress of staying alive can drive any person to the

  • 05:27

point of violence, and in these games, it’s every contestant for themself.

  • 05:33

To survive this game, a person must be either strong enough to fight or clever and sneaky

  • 05:38

    enough to hide.

  • 05:40

So, who would be able to either fend off attackers or properly hide themselves until the brawl

  • 05:45

    was over?

  • 05:46

Just like in the first round, we see Ericka, Pockets and Aaron all do extremely well, as

  • 05:52

both are very skilled combatants and could easily fight off anyone who tries to cross

  • 05:58

    them.

  • 05:59

Though Chester V is more brain than brawn, his intelligence and strange flexibility would

  • 06:04

definitely help his stealth, allowing him to sneak through this game unscathed.

  • 06:10

Though he may have a bit of a height disadvantage, Chef Quasimoto showed in the first movie

  • 06:15

Another big winner in this round is her majesty, Queen Victoria.

  • 06:20

Despite the royal stereotype, Vicky is actually surprisingly adept with a pair of katanas

  • 06:27

    - and although she can’t use weapons in the games, we still feel like she’d be able

  • 06:31

    to kick some ass.

  • 06:33

We can’t, however, say the same for Mayor Shellbourne.

  • 06:37

Not only is he lacking in the strength department, but the guy’s a bit of a coward, often bailing

  • 06:42

or blaming others when he senses trouble.

  • 06:45

But while he is sneaky, considering that this is the guy who ate his escape boat, we don’t

  • 06:51

think that he’s smart enough to find a good hiding spot either.

  • 06:56

Keeping with the theme of incompetent leaders, Leonard also falls in this game.

  • 07:01

Though he may be greedy and charismatic, he can also be pretty dimwitted and can’t quite

  • 07:07

outmatch the other characters in this game.

  • 07:10

The final death in this game is the wizard, Gargamel.

  • 07:14

Though he may be a decently skilled wizard and alchemist, without his magic powers he

  • 07:19

just doesn’t stand much of a chance.

  • 07:22

With several more contestants permanently down for the count and 11 villains left standing,

  • 07:28

it’s time for another strength-based game - “Tug of War”.

  • 07:32

Unlike the actual “Squid Game”, we aren’t going to assign characters to specific teams.

  • 07:37

Instead, we’re simply going to judge them based on their abilities and likelihood to

  • 07:42

    survive.

  • 07:43

To win “Tug of War”, you don’t just need strength.

  • 07:46

You also need strategy, and a willingness to work with others.

  • 07:50

Even weaker players have a shot at surviving if they can coordinate properly with stronger

  • 07:55

    players.

  • 07:56

As a captain, Black Bellamy already knows how to lead a crew (or a team), and that combined

  • 08:01

with his decent strength makes him a shoe-in for this game.

  • 08:05

Aaron is pretty strong on his own, and given that we see him work alongside several other

  • 08:10

Spideman baddies in “Spider-Verse”, we feel that he would be able to work in a team

  • 08:15

    well.

  • 08:16

Given that she studied physics while in school, we think that Zeta would actually be able

  • 08:20

to come up with an effective strategy for this game.

  • 08:23

We also have to take into account her status as a leader, also very helpful in a game like

  • 08:29

    Tug-of-War.

  • 08:30

We see throughout the second Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs movie that Chester V is

  • 08:34

often commanding his army of holograms.

  • 08:38

This mixed with his genius intellect would make him a great team leader for this game

  • 08:42

    - good thing too, otherwise this stringbean wouldn’t have stood a chance.

  • 08:48

Finally, as much as she may want to be in charge, Queen Vicky is still a diplomat of

  • 08:52

sorts and wouldn’t be prideful enough to ignore her team’s input as long as following

  • 08:57

their lead meant saving her own skin.

  • 09:00

One character who DOES fall in this game, however, is Pockets - and no, that isn’t

  • 09:06

because of the whole ‘hands in his pockets’ thing, we’re sure that he’d take them

  • 09:11

    out for this game.

  • 09:12

Pockets is however incredibly self-absorbed, and this pride and greediness can make him

  • 09:18

    act foolish.

  • 09:19

We just don’t see him meshing well with his team.

  • 09:22

We should also point out how isolated the Royal Hunter can be, only being loyal to King

  • 09:28

Herod, and how this is ultimately his biggest failing in a team-focused game like this one.

  • 09:33

He was even willing to let his own dogs die to try and save his skin.

  • 09:37

While he may be decently strong, we’ve run through the Tug-of-War scenario to know that

  • 09:42

    strength isn’t everything.

  • 09:45

It can still matter, however, which is why the final death of the game is Quasimoto.

  • 09:50

Yes, he may have experience with ropes, being a bell-ringer and all.

  • 09:55

But there’s a big difference between pulling on a bell and pulling against a team, and

  • 10:00

his short height probably doesn’t help much either.

  • 10:03

With another game done and over with, we’re left with 8 contestants left.

  • 10:07

Up next, we have “The Marble Game”.

  • 10:10

Marbles is an interesting one, at least in the context of “Squid Game”.

  • 10:14

There are multiple ways for pairs of players to play their marble game.

  • 10:18

They could focus on accuracy or how far they can roll their marble, or they can simply

  • 10:23

guess how many marbles are in their opponent’s hand.

  • 10:26

As such, there are multiple ways to win, with most of these ways relying on either skill

  • 10:31

    or luck.

  • 10:32

Of course, if you don’t have the skills to win, there’s always manipulation…

  • 10:37

Again, both Queen Victoria and Chester V really shine here, as both of them have been shown

  • 10:43

to be great manipulators - with Vicky managing to persuade the Pirate Captain to part with

  • 10:48

Polly and Chester V turning Flint against his friends.

  • 10:52

Doc Ock is a very patient and intelligent woman, and given how she was able to get Peter

  • 10:57

    B. to let his guard down around her, we think that she would do just fine in this game.

  • 11:02

Our other remaining Spidey villain also does well, though not necessarily because he’s

  • 11:07

    a manipulator.

  • 11:08

Again, Aaron is an assassin, so he’s probably used to noticing small details and successfully

  • 11:14

hitting targets - so when it comes to the actual game of marbles, he wins easily.

  • 11:20

Similarly, Zeta’s knowledge of physics once again comes in handy in this game.

  • 11:27

Even if she isn’t too manipulative, you don’t really need to be if you can play

  • 11:31

    the game near-perfectly.

  • 11:32

Unfortunately, after making it farther than we would have expected, it’s finally time

  • 11:38

to say so long to Black Bellamy.

  • 11:41

Though it may have saved him in Honeycomb, this is where Bellamy’s chill nature comes

  • 11:45

    back to bite him.

  • 11:47

Even if Bellamy can be mischievous and a bully when he wants to be, it just can’t compare

  • 11:52

    to our other finalists.

  • 11:54

Another fan-favorite, Ericka, also falls in this game.

  • 11:59

We saw throughout the third movie that Ericka can sometimes let her anger and impatience

  • 12:03

get the better of her, causing her to fail at assassinating Drac.

  • 12:07

She was also pretty unobservant when it came to the booby traps in Atlantis, and being

  • 12:12

unobservant in this game is pretty much a death sentence.

  • 12:16

Our final death of the game is Smiler.

  • 12:19

While she is essentially the leader of the phone, Smiler is more a bossy dictator than

  • 12:24

    an outright manipulator.

  • 12:26

She may put on a happy persona, but like with Bellamy, we just don’t think that goes very

  • 12:32

far when put up against the other baddies.

  • 12:34

We’re now officially down to our final 5!

  • 12:38

And just in time for one of this competition's deadliest games: “Glass Stepping Stones”.

  • 12:44

This game is another tricky one for a hypothetical scenario, as much of this game relies on luck.

  • 12:51

There is ONE strategy to it, however, that being the advantage of going last - after

  • 12:55

some glasses pieces have already been broken.

  • 12:59

As such, those who have a big enough ego to want to try a game first will likely seal

  • 13:03

    their doom.

  • 13:05

Naturally as Queen, Victoria would probably insist on going first - if not just shove

  • 13:11

people out of the way so she could go first.

  • 13:15

So it’s no surprise that she dies in this game.

  • 13:18

The next person to die would likely be Chester V. Given his intelligence and his ability

  • 13:24

to play to his advantage, we feel that at this point Chester V would be feeling pretty

  • 13:29

    confident and untouchable.

  • 13:31

But unless you have super-vision, you can’t exactly outwit glass, and since he would be

  • 13:36

one of the first to go, Chester wouldn’t be able to follow the path of others.

  • 13:41

Our final death is the sassy bird, Zeta.

  • 13:45

It really is a shame that Zeta isn’t allowed to just use her wings, otherwise this game

  • 13:50

would be a breeze for her.

  • 13:52

Outside of that, we also felt her ego would be big enough for her to pick a middle-to-high

  • 13:57

    number, sealing her fate.

  • 13:59

Just like in the show, our final challenge will be a one-on-one duel in the titular Squid

  • 14:04

    Game.

  • 14:05

In this game, two opponents must go up against one another, with one acting as a defender

  • 14:09

and the other as an attacker, with the attacker doing everything they can to reach the top

  • 14:15

of the court (or the squid’s ‘head’) and touch it with their foot, with the defender

  • 14:19

doing whatever they can to stop them.

  • 14:22

Or at least, that’s how Squid Game is traditionally played.

  • 14:26

Here though, it’s more of a ‘battle to the death’ type of deal.

  • 14:30

This time around, it’s a battle of the Spiderman villains it would seem: Doc Ock VS the Prowler.

  • 14:37

As such, this is even more of a close call than it usually is.

  • 14:42

Both villains are pretty tough and know how to fight - even without their weapons or gadgets.

  • 14:47

Aaron is a bit stronger physically while Doc Ock takes an advantage in the intelligence

  • 14:52

    department.

  • 14:54

Ultimately though, we decided that Doc Ock would be the one most likely to die in this

  • 14:58

    game.

  • 14:59

Aaron was the Kingpin’s top hit-man, and is agile and a master in combat while also

  • 15:04

    having great endurance and durability.

  • 15:07

Olivia may have superhuman strength and speed WITH her tentacles, but without them she’s

  • 15:13

just an ordinary woman with an above average brain.

  • 15:17

We aren’t saying she can’t still fight without her tentacles, but we don’t think

  • 15:21

that she would last as long as Aaron could.

  • 15:23

Her only saving grace would be if she could figure out a winning strategy - but even then,

  • 15:29

considering Aaron was an assassin that kills people for a living, we don’t think that

  • 15:33

she’d have much of a chance to enact one in time.

  • 15:36

So, in the end, it’s the Prowler who’s walking away with the cash.

  • 15:41

This win may be a bit controversial since it could be argued whether or not Prowler

  • 15:46

was a TRUE villain despite all that he did considering that he sacrificed himself for

  • 15:52

    Miles.

  • 15:53

But hey, all the more reason to be happy that he did win.

  • 15:56

But let us know in the comment section if you agree with our ranking, and tell us what

  • 16:00

    we should cover next!
