And they installed a puppet regime: the so-called Government of National Unity.

  • 00:17

Led by the Arrow Cross Party; the Hungarian fascists led by Ferenc Szálasi.

  • 01:08

    army didn't resist at all.

  • 01:10

According to a German report in some places there were received ceremonially.

  • 01:15

Regent Miklos Horthy remained on his position.

  • 01:19

He continued to contact the Allies and on 15 October managed an armistice with the Soviets.

  • 01:25
