  • 00:00

Today, we are going to give you the official  Kumaar Family House Tour.

  • 00:05

If you've already watched a bunch of other house tours on Youtube,

  • 00:08

you've probably already seen big houses, mansions, swimming pools and all that.

  • 00:13

If that's what you're expecting, I suggest you click away right now because

  • 00:18

we don't have that kind of house.

  • 00:20

What we're gonna show you is the reality of a middle class living in the San Francisco Bay Area in America.

  • 00:26

Honestly, we have been trying to buy a new house for the past year

  • 00:30

and we put in 10 offers and we got zero accepted.

  • 00:36

So right now we are going just to make do with what we have

  • 00:39

and who knows one day we might get a house

  • 00:42

but for now we're thankful to have a roof over our heads.

  • 00:44

Yeah, we're really grateful for this house that we have here.

  • 00:46

So let's begin. We'll start off with the garage, alright.

  • 00:51

So as you can see, this is our front yard over here. We need to mow this lawn.

  • 00:55

Our gardener flaked on us. He said he was going to show up, he didn't come.

  • 00:58

So that's why we haven't mowed the lawn yet. So apologies for that.

  • 01:02

    Welcome to our garage.

  • 01:04

Our house is pretty small. It's just over 1100 square feet,

  • 01:08

so we have to make use of every single part of our house, like the garage.

  • 01:13

We don't park our cars here because we need the space.

  • 01:16

So we use this for storage of extra stuff. It's very messy.

  • 01:20

This is going to be a theme throughout this tour. It's just there's a lot of stuff in our house.

  • 01:24

We have 6 adults living.. 4 adults living and 2 children. 6 people in total.

  • 01:30

Everyone just has a lot of stuff and we wish it was nice and all cleaned up put away

  • 01:35

There's just not room for it, so it is what it is. We make do with what we have

  • 01:40

Yeah, so over here and over here we try to  store as much things as we can.

  • 01:45

I also have a bike for you guys who don't know yet.

  • 01:47

Here we have a very fancy home office.

  • 01:51

This is where Logesh gets all of his work done.

  • 01:53

It's inside and away from  all the noise and chaos

  • 01:56

    and up here more storage

  • 02:00

As you guys can see, there's kind of this big  open area here

  • 02:03

and you might be wondering what are these.

  • 02:05

These are somewhat we call stall mats.  They are mats you can use for gym to work out on

  • 02:11

because as you might have noticed over here, we have lots of gym equipment.

  • 02:15

At the beginning of the pandemic, Logesh worked really hard to make a home gym here

  • 02:21

and we love it. We work out lots. Logesh about 4 to 5 times a week. I about 3 to 4 at most

  • 02:28

but we've got stationary bike, lots of weights. Our barbells are over here.

  • 02:32

We do CrossFit, so that's really fun.

  • 02:35

Also, we have our washer and dryer here

  • 02:39

which is great because then we don't have to have the space taken up inside the house.

  • 02:44

This is the way to get to the house. You go in, out, around.

  • 02:53

You guys ready to go inside the house?

  • 03:04

    This is our living room.

  • 03:08

This is where we spend pretty much most of our time.

  • 03:13

It is the only common area in the house, so we usually hang out here, spend time together.

  • 03:20

We have a beautiful TV that is rarely on.

  • 03:24

We spend so much time working on our Youtube channel. We don't have a lot of time to watch shows

  • 03:29

but on the weekends you will definitely see some Liverpool games playing

  • 03:33

We used to have the coffee table over here but Kyren likes to crawl around so we moved it off to the side

  • 03:40

and Zaden likes to keep his car track down there.

  • 03:43

It all works out. Little munchkin.

  • 03:46

    All right, let's keep going.

  • 03:49

We have Zaden's... This is kind of the boys play area.

  • 03:53

Zaden has a fun little kitchen. He loves to pretend to cook food.

  • 03:56

Kyren has a little saucer. He likes to jump in.

  • 04:00

We've got a little table for them to play arts and crafts and play-doh.

  • 04:04

Over here we have all of our videography, photography equipment.

  • 04:10

These are the ones that are active. This is the  ones that we use most of the time.

  • 04:14

So you can see we have a little tripod and stuff and all that and like the little microphones and all

  • 04:19

and my ipad where I used to work on stuff. So it's easily accessible.

  • 04:23

But guys, can you guys look up here for a second?

  • 04:25

These are all empty boxes. Logesh insists on keeping every photography box whatnot

  • 04:33

and says that it adds value if you ever want to sell it again.

  • 04:36

Do you guys keep your boxes? Let me know. I want to know. Put in the comments down below.

  • 04:39

Or does your spouse do that? It drives you crazy.

  • 04:42

Guys, tell her. When we want to sell it, the box helps it out when we want to sell it. So?

  • 04:47

I have never tried to buy a used item and thought "Hey, I want to make sure it has its box".

  • 04:52

Over here we have a beautiful fireplace.

  • 04:57

You guys may or may not have seen this. You know just a little placard super proud

  • 05:02

Thank you, guys. It's all thanks to you.

  • 05:05

Down here, it's actually a functioning fireplace. It's wintertime here in America, so it is cold.

  • 05:11

We do burn a lot of fires in it but  we couldn't use it until several years ago

  • 05:15

until Logesh parents came. His dad built us this  frame, so it opens it closes.

  • 05:21

He built it from scratch. It's crazy so now we can put fire isn't it?

  • 05:26

This used to be open and you can see those those bars here and here so it used to be open

  • 05:32

just kind of.. the ash is just flying all over the place so my dad put this in

  • 05:36

and now the ashes like stays contained in there which is great.

  • 05:42

Alright, so kind of coming over this area. This is our dining room table but I've got a secret for you guys.

  • 05:49

This isn't just a dining table. It is actually an office desk.

  • 05:55

When we had to move our office out of my parents now bedroom

  • 05:59

we didn't know what to do with this desk. We loved it so much, so we put it as our dining room table

  • 06:04

but we can't actually use it without being covered or also ruin it.

  • 06:08

Did you tell them about the plant?

  • 06:09

Oh, here is the curry plant. Guys, I have kept this alive for one year. That is a record.

  • 06:15

We grow our curry leaves. It's hard to find  them here. Some Asian grocers sell them, some don't.

  • 06:19

But it is hard to keep them alive when it's winter  time which it is right now because it's so cold. It kills it.

  • 06:25

So we keep it inside. I move it around to  be in the sun. I should actually probably move it and somehow um

  • 06:31

It leaves dirt by clean up and uh

  • 06:34

Yeah, I've kept it alive. That's the important part.

  • 06:36

This is our kitchen where all the magic  happens. All the delicious meals that Logesh makes.

  • 06:43

I don't know why Logesh happens to need 4 bottles of protein out at all times.

  • 06:49

It's because I get bored of a certain flavor, so I have to go try different flavor. So many.

  • 06:57

And then of course now the ice cream machine  takes up a lot of room. Ice cream machine.

  • 07:01

It's worth it. Totally worth it.

  • 07:02

Over here we've got some other microwave, toaster oven

  • 07:05

and if you've never seen one of these before,  they're amazing. You think so, Ky Ky?

  • 07:10

It is an air fryer. It's so cool.

  • 07:13

Logesh makes the best brussels sprouts in it. Amazing.

  • 07:17

    Next, stove and oven.

  • 07:21

    Sink

  • 07:21

You guys can tell we have a baby with lots  of bottles out and of course our beautiful fridge.

  • 07:26

Zaden loves to play with his magnets.

  • 07:28

Practice its shapes, its letters and its numbers. Fun little activity for him.

  • 07:33

Over here we have our nice little coffee station with the Nespresso.

  • 07:39

I don't drink coffee but Logesh does, so this is nice, quick and easy for him to use.

  • 07:42

Yeah, this is super quick and easy.

  • 07:45

I have this at the very minimum like one a day. You  put in like little pods inside here and you just..

  • 07:51

Oh, the cups. Tell them about the cups. So these..  We got this in our favorite place in Malaysia

  • 07:58

Yeah, this was from a pasar pagi in Taman Chi Liung, Klang, Malaysia. I got this, I bought this whole set.

  • 08:05

I love this so much. I use it every day. Yeah,  we both use these cups every day.

  • 08:09

I use it for tea. His for coffee and it's just so great to  have. This is a hot water dispenser. I love it

  • 08:15

because we always have hot water on hand at all  times

  • 08:18

Never have to use a kettle. It's fantastic.

  • 08:21

Speaking of tea, I have tons of tea. Logesh tells me I have too much.

  • 08:25

That's an obsession. Look at that.

  • 08:27

I use them all though and even here.. This is one of  my favorite teas from Malaysia

  • 08:32

and just.. totally I'm leave with a few packets left

  • 08:35

but I have to save it because I don't know when we'll be back to get one. You can't find that here.

  • 08:39

Here's our kitchen pantry. This is what Logesh uses to make all sorts of delicious food.

  • 08:44

A ridiculous amount of soy sauce, lots of spice packets. It's kind of a mess.

  • 08:49

It's on my to-do list to organize you guys but it just hasn't happened yet.

  • 08:55

One thing I forgot to show you guys is we have a fun little closet here called a coat closet

  • 09:01

where we keep our coats very aptly named and then  extra shoes that we don't use and bags and things

  • 09:09

and our ironing board in case  we have to iron something.

  • 09:13

You guys wanna see more of the house? Let's go.

  • 09:18

So this is the boys room.

  • 09:20

It is Liverpool themed, so we've got a nice little Liverpool plaque on it.

  • 09:25

This is probably the cleanest  room in the whole house.

  • 09:28

We got the boys beds. That's Kyren's bed. Zaden's bed.

  • 09:32

You might be wondering why does Zaden still sleep in a crib.

  • 09:34

He actually doesn't try to climb out at all and it's nice to have him contained

  • 09:39

and he sleeps really really well in his crib, so we haven't given him a big boy bed yet.

  • 09:45

Eventually we will but for now he's happy in his crib, so are we.

  • 09:49

I hand painted all this wall with the Liverpool song and the little symbol

  • 09:55

which is kind of funny right because  all this discoloration started to happen.

  • 09:59

It wasn't like that before but I don't know why. Yeah, I don't know why.

  • 10:02

and then behind you is the changing table. So this is where I changed Kyren

  • 10:06

when Zaden's awake and not sleeping in his bed. Diapers, wipes changing hats

  • 10:11

and then here I wrote.. I made these. I wrote love in four different languages.

  • 10:15

If you guys know all four languages, leave it in the comments down below. See if you can get all of them.

  • 10:24

I think Kyren is getting karam right now.  He is.

  • 10:27

Okay, here is our family bathroom. Yep, pretty much.

  • 10:32

We do have two bathrooms. We'll  show you in a little second

  • 10:35

but this is pretty much where everyone takes a shower, like all six of us.

  • 10:40

Not at the same time. Not at the same time

  • 10:42

But here's the bathroom. It is so  large and then our nice little shower.

  • 10:50

    Got a tub. Zaden's toys.

  • 10:53

We all have our different shampoos and body washes and different things so it's very..

  • 10:57

So do you guys want to know what's  all those little guys over there?

  • 11:02

That's bath bombs that I bought for Zaden and inside each bath bomb there's like a little toy.

  • 11:07

Let me tell you. Don't ever buy a bath  bomb for your kid because when you buy one

  • 11:12

and when you use it, they want it over and  over and over again.

  • 11:16

It's a habit I cannot keep up with because.. Look at that. Not only here but also here.

  • 11:23

    There's like so many more.

  • 11:26

So this is my parents room. We're gonna  give them their privacy and just let them

  • 11:30

be in there. They have zayden in there with  them right now, so we'll leave them be.

  • 11:34

This is our room. The master bedroom. And just  right off the bat you guys,

  • 11:40

I want to show you probably the most unique part of our whole house is

  • 11:45

the fact that we use a giant piece of cardboard to keep the sun out

  • 11:48

because the sun pours in here and wakes us up in the morning.

  • 11:52

This... Guys, this is the bane of my existence because it's so bright in the morning

  • 12:00

and that's why we have to use this cardboard to cover it to keep the sunlight.

  • 12:05

This window is a really weird size, so we haven't been able to find curtains that fit it.

  • 12:09

Yeah, so this is our room.

  • 12:11

Over there you guys can see we have like an accent wall which I love. It's one of my favorite colors.

  • 12:17

Logesh took all those photos. One is from Paris, the middle one is from Liverpool

  • 12:22

and then the far right one is the Big Ben in London.

  • 12:25

Okay, so here you guys are gonna see a ginormous bathroom. Just kidding.

  • 12:30

This is our tiny tiny little bathroom in our  room.

  • 12:33

The toilet sink and then here is the shower which is very small.

  • 12:37

We keep Kyren's little tub in here. That's pretty much the function of the shower because it's so tiny.

  • 12:43

Yeah, it doesn't hold anything. Let me try to show you how tiny it is. Do you want me to go inside?

  • 12:48

Go ahead. Go ahead. I was going to do it but if you want to do it.. Yeah. Oh, can you go inside? Oh.

  • 12:53

It's inside. You see. That's it.

  • 12:55

That's how tiny it is. Very small and you like shampoo your hair and you like hit the wall the whole time

  • 13:00

so that's why we all shower in the big bathroom.

  • 13:04

Also, Rachel.. I don't know if you can see it but there's note's over there.

  • 13:08

Rachel always leaves me like this little sweet notes every day. Kind of sweet for her. Thank you

  • 13:13

and that is... Oh, I forgot one part. This is my work desk.

  • 13:17

This is where I get my work done  and my tiny little work desk gets the job done.

  • 13:23

Yeah, I sit here and I do all my meetings, do  all my work. It's very very exciting you guys.

  • 13:30

Logesh has the garage. I have our room.

  • 13:31

Okay, let's go check out the backyard.

  • 13:33

That's the final part of our house.

  • 13:35

That is the last part and like Logesh just saying we were supposed to have a gardener come

  • 13:39

and he did not show up, so we need to get our lawn mowed.

  • 13:49

Here's the backyard. Oh, it's such a beautiful  day. I wish you guys could feel the breeze.

  • 13:54

We've got a lot of Zaden's toys. We just pulled  this back out. The shell was a little crooked so

  • 13:59

we had a chair weighted down.

  • 14:00

It's supposed to be a sandbox. Right now it is empty.

  • 14:05

We need to clean it out, so Zaden can play with it.

  • 14:08

    His little toy car.

  • 14:10

Also, we have like little plants here that we're trying to keep alive but they are dying.

  • 14:14

We're not gonna lie. They're still alive.

  • 14:16

They're still alive, so we'll try to keep them alive but  they are kinda..

  • 14:19

    Blackberry bush and passion fruit.

  • 14:21

Here is.. Zaden loves this trampoline.

  • 14:24

Yeah, we got this for free actually from a friend.

  • 14:27

That's why you can see like this holes and  all but it doesn't matter here because

  • 14:31

inside it's like perfectly fine. He goes in there, zips himself up and he loves jumping in there.

  • 14:37

It's really sweet. He'll play in there for so long.

  • 14:41

But you guys, the best part about this backyard is this tree right here and I'll show you why.

  • 14:46

Oh, it's windy right now. Yes, yes. Check this out.

  • 14:50

Do you know what fruit that is?

  • 14:52

Those are avocados. Avocados grow on this tree.

  • 14:56

It's crazy. You see there's more up here too. So many. Oh yeah, there's a bunch right there. Right there

  • 15:05

Yeah, so this isn't a huge avocado  tree and you might be wondering why is that.

  • 15:12

Last winter, it fell over. This was last  February, I think. It fell over and it was

  • 15:18

almost all the way on the ground and we talked  to a bunch of arborists who worked with trees

  • 15:22

and they all told us like "Oh, you're gonna  have to chop the tree down.

  • 15:25

It's gonna die, can't save it" and then my dad was like nope and he pulled it together and pulled it up

  • 15:31

and it's been alive and it gives us avocados, so I'm glad we didn't cut it.

  • 15:36

    Yeah, that is our backyard.

  • 15:38

Hey, Zae Zae. We just finished the house tour with  everyone. Do you want to say hi to our friends?

  • 15:42

    Hi.

  • 15:43

Say hi. Hi. Thank you for watching.  Thank you for watching. We love you. We love you.

  • 15:51

All right, that's the end of the house tour guys.

  • 15:53

As you can see, it's a really glamorous life that we live.

  • 15:57

Thank you so much for watching.

  • 15:59

Don't forget to like the video and as always smash the subscribe button.

  • 16:03

We really hope to see you in the next one, alright.

  • 16:05

    Bye. Bye. Say bye. Bye.
