I'm Layla Beth and I'm going to help you learn how to be a model. First of all you need to
decide what kind of model do you want to be. Are you tall and slender? Because if you are
you might make a good runway model. Are you curvier and kind of sexy? If so you would
make a good glamour model. There are a lot of different kinds of models out there. You
can even hire a modeling coach or go to a modeling school who could help you decide
what kind o model you want to be. You are going to need photographs, that's obvious.
Have a friend or a family member take photos of you or you can even hire a photographer
to help you build your portfolio. You are going to want to know how to put on your own
makeup, pick your own outfits and style your own hair when you are just starting out unless
you have the luxury of being swooped up by some glamorous agency who can do all of that
for you. Most people don't have that luxury. You are going to want to be patient and research,
practice, and study absolutely as much as you can. You can even put together an on line
portfolio but in all honesty most clothing companies won't select models from their on
line portfolios they just don't have the time to research it. Never give up. If this is
what you want to do you are going to have to devote all time to it and be prepared to
not have much of a social life. Be on call at all times. If somebody wants to shoot with
you tomorrow say yes. But never ever do anything that makes you feel uncomfortable. You might
be asked to pose nude or for adult websites. If that is not for you be sure you state it
right off the bat. Don't worry about hurting their feelings, this is one area where you
must be firm. You can be polite but firm. You have to be comfortable and you have to
