so after doing my ending explained video for godzilla vs kong i thought it would be a good idea
to give you my review on the film there were many things i liked about the film but there are also
some flaws which i will be discussing in this video essay i will be going into brief spoilers
as this will mainly focus on my opinion of the film but if you want to see my breakdown video
listing all of the details then you can check this out on the channel now if you want to see
more on godzilla vs kong and other films coming out this year then don't forget to subscribe to
the channel and turn on your notifications also if you enjoy this video remember to give it a like
rating but without further ado let's dive into what godzilla versus kong did right and wrong
so one of the complaints that i've seen many people make towards the current monster
monsterverse films is how they haven't balanced the human element of the story
with the monster action while i feel that the first godzilla movie and king of the monsters
to some extent did a pretty solid job of both i totally understand why it didn't work for
everyone godzilla vs kong definitely aims more towards focusing on the monsters with several
scenes that convey the story entirely through them using their actions and facial expressions
rather than dialogue for the most part this works really well and manages to keep the action moving
along at a good pace alongside the film of course being self-aware of what it really
is i also loved how the film managed to cut out some of the unnecessary elements which can also
drag a story down in a way which could be even worse for example one minute they're talking
about moving kong to the arctic where there's an entrance to hollow earth and literally the
next scene we see kong in the middle of the ocean chained to a battleship there's no explanation of
