I wanted to offer a little bit of unsolicited advice in response to the comment storm that

of I guess back to school advice because people are going back to school and I've been thinking

a lot lately about high school and my first day of high school and all these expectations

that I had for like making myself this new and cool person and how long it took into

adulthood to really get comfortable in myself, in my chin, in what comes across apparently

sometimes as superficial air-headedness. This is my advice. Especially if you're young,

make it a priority to like yourself. To find something that you love about yourself, that's

unique about you. It doesn't have to be huge. And focus on that. Not everybody is going

to like you. And they're going to say things about specifically how and why they don't

like you and you're going to have to receive that criticism and if you don't have a solid

criticism can just break you. Now I will say that liking yourself, loving yourself, all

of those things, that's not an excuse to just be a jerk and bulldoze over other people in

the name of 'well I love myself so'. No I think the Golden Rule is a great rule. Do

done more of in middle school, high school, even into college, was really making that

turn them into something maybe more positive and productive by encouraging you out there
