We built a tea house inside of the Damushan tea garden
The architecture is not the end goal. This tea house was built on the edge of the lake, next to five Sycamore trees
it's a public space. formed out of a combination with two independent patios
Standing under the tree. under a mottled shadow. as time passes by. The spacious feeling beneath a tree. gives way to a memorable walk. this is where the tea house begins. we're hoped this would be a simple and humble building
using a local slope-style rooftop. not manipulating the look much. A deep faced concrete. is not only a truthful depiction of the building and design
but also provides a backdrop for the space. the roof uses a linear window to let the sun in. simultaneously setting the rhythm of the space. In the afternoon, the sun casts shadows from trees, and waves from the lake
